mother love

Last weekend my mum came over from Holland to see me and bump for the last time before meeting him or her soon after its born. It was so nice spending time together getting excited about the baby. My mum was not impressed by the dumping ground the baby room had become and we subsequently spend 2 days shopping and sorting out all the things we had been given into some welcoming order! Anyway its now starting to look like a proper baby room and I am getting more into the nesting stage now as they call it, thanks to my mum's inspiring ideas and presence! We had a bbq in our new garden on sunday where ma met some of our lovely friends. We had a bit of a giggle at ma's english language as she translated it from dutch. Some classics to remember; the back of the house mum called the 'backside' (I had to correct her eventually) and while chris was spilling some food on his top she told him he needed a 'slap'! Slap means a bib in dutch so you can imagine what our friends might have thought about Chris' mother-in law who wants to slap him! Don't think my mum minded us laughing at her as she was joining in too!

our pram!

Thought we'd show you our pram as we are very excited about it. Never thought it would need that much research deciding on a pram but these days there is so much choice and babies can seriously travel in style now. We loved the top of the range pram as you can imagine but could not justify the cost however much we love baby blake to be well travelled. Anyway I headed for ebay and am since quite addicted!! The result is a second hand pram in very good conditioning for a good price so we're very chuffed with that.
